Gespräch durch die Zähne - Tiny mechanical Theater

As a reaction to virtual and stimulus-flooded reality, the mobile miniature theatre “Gespräch durch die Zähne” (Conversation through the Teeth) stands for an experience in the here and now.

Through the interplay of assemblages and kinetic objects, illusions and machines, the viewer is briefly immersed in a small world. A collection of abstruse objects that tell stories with a bittersweet wink:
sown memories that open up a space between life and death, past and future, inside and outside, machines and people. The “Gespräch durch die Zähne” is an intimate one-to-one experience without the distractions of everyday life for everyone. A scenography in a small space in which an automatic and individual spectacle takes place.
A heterotopic possibility that only awakens through the perception of the individual.
“Gespräch durch die Zähne” is an Arduino based kinetic theater.
We combined the assemblage of different objects, mechanic, programming and drammaturgy of the play.
It works with a sensor that recognise the presence of a spectator and the magic inside the luggage starts, giving a theater experience for a couple of minutes.
The Tiny mechanical Theatre is an international encounter project between different artists and their personal, individual forms of expression and characteristics. Electronics, mechanics and model making, bundled by a shared enthusiasm for theatre and kinetic art with the courage to be playful and free/freak.
